Ek Hota Carver (Marathi, by Veena Gavankar)

Someday back I read one Marathi book "Ek Hota Carver" by Veena Gavankar (translated in Marathi) , it is based on a George Washington Carver life. Carver was Nigro in America and an American Botony researcher. The book tells how is has been dedicated his life to his Nigro brothers to helping them in farming, improving their living standard, increasing their source of income etc. All he did without excepting any fame, money was his really greatness. Being born as Nigro how agonizing life he lived but still he helped his Nigro brothers by teaching them farming techniques. Though he was great Painter, Musician. But all this fame he left to help needed people in Southern America.
Your tear comes out at the end by knowing how he was really great, how painful life he lived, about his love to his mother, thinking of helping poor people.
Being neglected many time, insulted many times he never give up, always tried to help people. His scarifies, his work was really great.
On his grave was written the simplest and most meaningful summary of his life. "He could have added fortune to fame, but caring for neither, he found happiness and honor in being helpful to the world."
Worth to read.
